Our Story

Park Hall Countryside Experience opened its farm gates back in April 2000.

Originally the farm had been a working farm museum and was acquired for redevelopment in the late 1990s by a small group of North Shropshire farmers and businessmen.

Richard Powell and Martyn Hughes the Park Hall founders

Two of the original farmers, Richard Powell and Martyn Hughes, had the vision to transform the site into the much-loved farm attraction it is today. They are both experienced farmers in dairying and sheep farming and wanted to pass on their passion for agritourism to families in the local area.

Richard, Martyn, their family members, and a dedicated team of staff have helped grow Park Hall into a multi award-winning family visitor attraction with all-weather facilities.

What our visitors say:

We love Park Hall Countryside Experience! It’s well worth the 60 minute drive to enjoy a full day of fun and laughter with very friendly staff who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome! Highlights include the pig racing, the tractor ride and barrel ride! We also love stroking the bunnies too and getting creative in the music room!

We had such a fantastic day here. Plenty of fun for the children. If you're looking to tire the children out, then this is the perfect place to visit without breaking the bank balance. The layout was easy to follow, the staff were extremely friendly, the cafe serves reasonably priced food and drinks which are enjoyable with a great choice, tractor rides, farm animals to see, you can get close and stroke the lambs… the list is endless.

Absolutely fantastic. What a brilliant place, couldn't fault anything. The staff are all welcoming. Animals are extremely well looked after. The museums are very different and brilliant. Inclusive for the disabled, even has a toilet with hoisting facilities. One of our new favourite places. Thank you.

Absolutely amazing. Our kids are 2 and 4 and didn't stop for 6 hours. They loved the large and little tractor rides, feeding the goats and wide range of play areas. All staff were lovely and very informative. We will be purchasing an annual membership.

WOW what a place it's amazing, it’s got a bit of everything. If you have kids it's a must place to visit, if you haven't got kids it's a must place.
