Pig Racing

A thrilling season of Pig Racing will be running daily from 30th March 2012. If the weather conditions are favourable we will be having one pig race a day during February half term (10th-19thFeb at 2.00pm.)

The five fabulous pigs taking part in the races are Pinky, Perky, Porky, Salt and Pepper.The pigs have risen through the ranks from daily 'pig petting' to free ranging outdoor pigs who are well accustomed to public attention.

  For the race itself each pig has a racing ‘colour’, and, to add to the fun Park Hall’s visitors to will be given a ‘colour’ badge to support their chosen pig. At each event visitors are encouraged to line the route of the raceway to follow their pig's progress. There are no prizes for punters, but, the excitement of the race will be a reward itself.
For the pigs, however, there is a reward every race. They are not setting their sights on Olympic Gold but on a trough of tasty pig nuts at the finishing post. It’s the only encouragement they need!
